PLAY/GROUND Medina

Now that we are “grown up” we really don’t get a lot of time to stop worrying about all of our day to day responsibilities and just have fun. Lucky for us, PLAY/GROUND is happening again this year from 9/27-9/29 in Medina and you’ll instantly be transported to a place of imagination and wonderment once you step inside the building.

What is PLAY/GROUND, you ask? It is an immersive art experience meant to engage your senses, expand your mind, and inspire your imagination. It is housed in the old Medina High School, less than an hour trip outside of Buffalo, and is a Resource:Art project in partnership with Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center and Rochester Contemporary Art Center (RoCo).

PLAY/GROUND, a weekend-long series of events featuring curated, site-specific installations by contemporary artists with a focus on the experiential, immersive, and ambitious. I was unable to attend last year, but I hear that the installations were incredible. You might remember from my post about Medina earlier this year that we were able to preview the site for the event. I can’t wait to see how the artist transform the different spaces.

You can purchase tickets to PLAY/GROUND via their website. I’ll be attending the preview night, so I hope to see you there!
