One of my most favorite things about being a blogger is the fact that I get to work with some of the most creative and passionate people and share their excitement for their projects.

This year, I had the pleasure of working with Rick Warne and his team again to promote his passion project, Queen City Fashion Week.  Rick wanted to amp up the elegance and excitement of fashion shows in WNY, so they pulled out all of the stops this year.  The main runway event was held at Executive AirShare, a local private airplane hangar...yes, you heard that correctly.  The fashion show was held in an AIRPLANE HANGAR!  I honestly don't think that I've been that excited for a show in a long time.

Myself and three other bloggers were given the incredible opportunity to attend the show and sit runway side.  The designs were stunning and the location was something right out of a movie.

First, let's take a look at what I wore, shall we?

It's unseasonably hot here in Buffalo, so I went with one of my favorite LOFT dresses which was light enough to be comfortable but still had that little sexy edge that I need for a night out.

Next, let's take a look at the location!

Yes, that's a private jet that I'm sitting in...total Kardashian moment for me as I've never had the opportunity to be in one before!  From the red carpet to the beautiful cars and the private jet, this was a total VIP experience!

There was an impressive lineup of Buffalo's top designers and boutiques:

  • Bespoke Men's Tailor, by Tom Barnett:  Tom Barnett New York has specialized in bringing an unparalleled luxury menswear experience to its clientele for over a quarter century. From Buffalo to Beverly Hills, an authentic handmade Tom Barnett Bespoke garment is essential to any man who aspires to have a sophisticated wardrobe rich in iconic style, and remarkable fit.
  • Bambi Layne:  Bambi is a Re-Creationist. Originally from Buffalo, we lost her to Boston, Massachusettswhere she is better able to support her Transformation Studio. What you will see debuted here are pieces of B. Layne Creations Volume 2, Eco-Transformations.
  • Londa Msanii, L's Eclectic Style:  Londa is originally from Florida and now calls Buffalo her home.
  • Alicia Marvan:  Alicia is an artist and designer dedicated to contemporary and experimental practices. Her work emphasizes the sculptural and poetic inherent in the human body, ranging from intricate embroideries to interactive sculptures. She launched her fashion atelier last summer, with the goal of providing Buffalo better fashion options in terms of style, comfort, weather adaptability, labor ethics and environmental responsibility.
  • Half & Half
  • Annarlette
  • Second Chic Williamsville
  • Visualeyes

Finally, in no particular order, here are some of my favorite designs of the evening!
